Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. This is used to identify your account and display your name to collaborators you choose to invite.
Communication board data. This includes the profiles, folders, buttons, and symbol images you create. This data is stored in your account and synced across your devices.
Images you upload. Photos and symbols you add to buttons are stored in Amazon S3, scoped to your account. They are not publicly accessible.
Usage data. We may collect anonymous, aggregated information about how the app is used (such as which features are used most often) to improve the service. This data cannot be linked back to individual users.
Device information. Standard technical information such as device type and operating system version, used for debugging and compatibility.
We do not collect or store any voice or audio recordings. Text-to-speech is processed entirely on your device.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We share data only in these limited circumstances:
Your data is stored on AWS servers located in the United States. We use HTTPS for all data in transit and rely on AWS security controls for data at rest. Access to production data is restricted and logged.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We take reasonable precautions but cannot guarantee absolute security.
KTalkAAC is designed to be used by or on behalf of individuals with communication needs, including children. Accounts for children under 13 must be set up by a parent or legal guardian.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us at support@ktalkaac.com and we will delete it promptly.

The app uses session tokens stored locally on your device to keep you signed in. The marketing website (ktalkaac.com) does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
